This will show you the opening musical scene followed by what happens at the rehearsals for the musical.
It starts off with La Soldier as the song with the cast not in full outfit, but the school uniforms that you don’t see for the ENTIRE musical.
A very PGSM hairstyle…except this is 10 years BEFORE PGSM.
This is the year it takes place! August 12, 1993!
“The things this hand is going to do to Mamoru in a few years.”
And that’s it for the La Soldier performance! Now we get into the rehearsal and showings!
This talks about it being the day of the performance and how everyone should be strong!
A good look at the outfits hanging up!
Gotta like the reference book there.
Anza says it’s embarassing to be caught eating
Aino Minako (Sailor Venus) would be played by Nana Suzuki(鈴木奈々) and would be the longest ever running Sailor Venus.
This just says inside of the rehearsals! This is the scene of Minako running into Saitou.
Naoko Takeuchi was actually very present for everything! She came for encouragement as well!
This is the director for the musical! You have him giving bits of advice on how to make things better.
Anza, wearing a USA shirt.
Here the director is telling her she isn’t doing a pouty enough walk after they find out Minako is going on a date with Saitou.
Hino Rei (Sailor Mars) would be played by Hiroko Nakayama (中山博子). She has released a full-nude idol photobook and also shares a birthday with Hino Rei on April 17th!
This talks about the cast being pretty serious in their practices and/or taking them seriously.
Here the director is telling them to act like they’re in more pain.
Ah Queen Beryl.
Kino Makoto (Sailor Jupiter) played by Kanoko （かのこ), real name Noriko Kamiyama (神山法子). The 2nd longest running Sailor Jupiter. This is our Jupiter Pluto also!
Directing/Screenplay: Sho Nobushi （野伏翔).
This talks about the rest of the staff working their hardest as well!
Mizuno Ami (Sailor Mercury) would be played by Ayako Morino (森野文子) or also known as Aya （あや） and Bun Bun （ぶんぶん）! The longest running Sailor Mercury and ran for the 5th longest performer ever, tied with Anza!
Here the director is telling Anza she’s not putting enough “hate” into what she’s saying.
Words of encouragement from the creator herself!
The rehearsal is finally over and it’s time to do this for real!
Tsukino Usagi (Sailor Moon) would be played by Anza Ooyama (大山アンザ) and would tie for 5th longest performer with Ayako! She was also the OLDEST Sailor Moon, graduating at 21 years old.
And there you have it! There wasn’t too much content here to see but I thought it was a neat look into just how it went for the musical that would create a massive chain of 35 musicals to date (including Le Mouvement Finale). How much will change by the time we hit 1994?
